Teacher Sponsor
Miss Carpenter, the 6th and 7th grade teacher.

Number of Participants Required
There is no set number of participants required in order for these activities to be successful. One to five students per adult per event is ideal. Classroom type instruction can include more than five students per adult, though no more than 15 is recommended (due to the limited amount of gear I own).

Limitations / Prerequisites
Students wishing to participate in either climbing and/or biking need to be in the 6th grade or above. Participants should be healthy enough to participate fully in either activity. All participants should have parent permission, emergency information, strong bones and lungs, etc.

Climbing: Students will not need their own gear to rock climb, though if they have any gear, they should bring that. Students will need to pay for any transportation to and from the climbing site, bring their own water and refreshments, dress appropriately, etc.

Mountain Biking: Students need to have their own mountain bike (one that has at least 18 gears, though 24 to 27 is ideal), water, helmet, and any other safety gear desired (shin guards, elbow pads, etc.) Any other biking gear is welcome but not required (spare tube, tire pump, patch kit, alien tool, etc.)
