"Cristina and the Lions" by Nina

Cristina lives in a house. But not any old house…in a wooden house! Cristina loved living there. So Cristina was thinking outside with her mom. Then Cristina thought about something. She remembered and she told her mother…”Why don’t we have one more cat?”
“Cristina, don’t you think we have too many? We’ll see at night.” Cristina loved pets.
One afternoon Cristina went outside by herself. After a little while…Cristina saw a lion! It was walking by slowly…she was frightened…Cristina started to walk backwards. Slowly the lion started to walk forward, closer and closer…Then Cristina felt something on the back of her…
She looked backwards and she saw…a lion on the back of her! Then more and more lions came. They started to get closer and closer…
Suddenly, she was surrounded by lions. Then her mom came out and she called, “Cristina!”
She didn’t hear her. Then she started to look for her. She heard her call, “Help! Help!” Then her mother saw her screaming, “Help!”
She ran to her. She screamed! “Are you okay?” said her mother. “I’ll bring some help!”
Her mother started to run to get some help and she found a friend that knew a lot about lions…So they ran to Cristina and the men that knew a lot about lions told the lions to go away.
Cristina hugged and kissed her mother and said thank you to her… But they saw a kitty and they thought they could keep it as a pet. So when it grew up it was their guard.
